This is an exciting period for ABSIP as we have experienced sound and cumulative growth in the last few years and a continued improvement of the ABSIP brand. Our sincerest thanks and appreciation go to our esteemed members, both corporates and professionals in the Financial Services Sector and beyond, and students from different chapters at various tertiary education institutions.
The continued growth and sustainability of our organisation is testament of your incessant contribution. We would also like to take this opportunity and thank the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA) for the unwavering support they have shown, by accommodating us at their Bruma offices for the last two years. We look forward to a continued healthy relationship with SAICA.
We are pleased to announce our move to Regiment Capital’s premises in Houghton as a result of our recently sealed partnership valued at R2 million over two years. We are delighted that our partner, Regiments Capital, has integrated ABSIP into its expansion programme resulting in office space and institutional support being made available to ABSIP.
Not only has this partnership enabled ABSIP to increase human resources from two to four employees, including an office manager, it will also help us to improve capacity and capability to focus, strategically, on the Didimala Declaration (Vision 2020) crafted during the National Executive Committee’s 2014 strategy and business planning session. As part of Vision 2020 we have also embarked on a journey to professionalize ABSIP.
This entails, inter alia, aligning the ABSIP Memorandum of Incorporation with its constitution, optimizing ABSIP’s organizational structure, redefining roles and responsibilities and implementing the necessary policies, systems and controls to enable seamless execution of ABSIP’s mandate. We encourage all of you, valued members and stakeholders, to continue supporting ABSIP as this will contribute to the organisation’s progression.
